Song Jie is the principal dancer of Shanghai Opera House Dance Ensemble and a state A-Stage artist, as well as a member of the council of Shanghai DancerAssociation and Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art. She has starred in plenty of dance dramas and plays, such as Moon Fairy, Zhou Xuan, Goddess of the Luo River, Peony, Gold Peacock, The Imperial Concubine Yang, The Glory of Han Dynasty, Goddess of Hongshan, Qianlin Rivulet, Empire and Beauty, Cloud·Nine Pieces, Phoenix, Fairyland Qilian, Elephant·One Thought, Mamma Butterfly, Gangong Bird. She also participated in the choreography work of the big dance scenario show Legend of Ancient Road, stage show Cloud·Nine Pieces, and dance dramas Mamma Butterfly, Gangong Bird, Fairyland Qilian.
Song Jie has won numerous honors, such as“Shanghai Top 10 Dancers”, “Shanghai March 8th Red-flag Poster”, “Shanghai May 4th Youth Award”, the Merit Beginner Award for “Shanghai Play and Drama Showcase”, “Jing’an District Young Talent”, “Shanghai Nova Cultural Star”, and “Shanghai Outstanding Talents in Arts Industry”, etc.
Song Jie has also won a series of competitions, citing the third prize in the CCTV Dance Competition, the second prize in performance in the “Peach and Plum Cup” Dance Competition, the first prize in performance in the Shanghai Dance and Drama Competition, the second prize in the National “Lotus Cup” Dance Competition, and she was listed in the Young Artist Training Program of “The 6th Shanghai Literature and Art Award”.
Together with Chinese Art Troupe and Shanghai Art Troupe, she has attended multiple culture exchange performances in the USA, Switzerland, Korea, Turkey, and Israel. She has been invited as a guest performer to attend the opening ceremony of the Summit Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, Laureus World Sports Awards and Expo Milano.
